Since 2021, people with very different educational and professional backgrounds have learned technology by solving unfamiliar problems together. Some have combined new tech skills with experience they already had. Others have changed careers entirely.

Full-stack software engineering · 12–15 months. The flagship programme at kood/Jõhvi. Open to career changers and anyone motivated to become a professional software developer — no prior coding experience required. Admissions are based on a logic and problem-solving assessment. Students work in a project-based, peer-learning format with no traditional lectures.

Enrolled
Every student across the eight main-programme cohorts, counted from the point a study agreement is signed. The figure rises as the current cohort fills.
Active students
Students studying right now, so the figure moves week to week. 39 students on study leave, military service or parental leave are not counted.
Graduation rate
Completed cohorts only, 2021–2024. The 2026 cohort is still in progress.
Graduates
All 487 graduates under Talent outcomes come from the main programme. kood/Nooremarendaja’s first cohort completes in late 2026; kood/Empower and kood/FutureCoders are short-format and produce none.
Programme overlap
24 active students transferred in from kood/Nooremarendaja, so they appear in both programmes’ enrolment. They will count once as graduates.
Students per year
Early years had one cohort start per year, later years more than one, so a bar can cover more than one cohort. 2026 is excluded because those cohorts are in progress, which is why the years do not sum to 1,344. kood/Empower and kood/FutureCoders run on a school-year clock and are not in that series.
Tech roles
324 people — graduates, active students and jobouts together. Bars are scaled to the largest role, not to 324.
Completion rate
Students who finished a course as a share of those who started it, counted per course rather than per student: 87% of Introduction to Programming, 87% of Introduction to Web Development, 84% of Introduction to Data Analysis, and 87% across all three. A start is recorded once a student is enrolled on the course and begins it, so students who signed up and never began are not in the base. The base is 2025/2026 starts only: students who began a course in 2026/2027 are left out, since a course they have not yet had time to finish would count against the rate.
High-school reach
34 of Estonia’s 156 high schools offer a kood/FutureCoders elective course in 2025/2026.
Net Promoter Score
Promoters (score 9–10) minus detractors (0–6) as a share of all responses, running from −100 to +100. kood/Empower scores +78 from 108 responses — 87 promoters, 18 passives, 3 detractors — pooled across all four bootcamps held. Cohort scores run from +66.7 (May 2025) to +86.8 (July 2025). kood/FutureCoders runs a course-feedback survey too, but the response base is too small a share of the 1,380 students to carry a figure, so none is shown.
Elective courses
Three courses in 2025/2026 — Introduction to Programming, Introduction to Web Development and Introduction to Data Analysis — each about 35 academic hours. All three are introductory: they give a first sight of the field rather than train for it. Figures count once per student per course, so the 1,380 students account for 2,021 starts and 1,751 completions: a student can take more than one, and a school offering the elective does not offer all three. Introduction to Machine Learning is a fourth course entering the range in 2026/2027, so it carries no figure yet. It is self-paced online and assessed pass/fail by automated tests, and expects some programming and data analysis to start from — what Introduction to Programming and Introduction to Data Analysis cover. Introduction to Web Development is not a prerequisite for it.
kood/Empower participants
123 women across the four bootcamps held so far — kood/Jõhvi in May, July and November 2025, and the Garage48 bootcamp in February 2026. Summed from the per-bootcamp participation lists, so a returning participant counts once per bootcamp. Two more bootcamps run in 2026.
Age distribution
Main-programme ages cover 1,127 of the 1,344 students enrolled — every cohort but the first, whose ages were not recorded. The bands match kood/Nooremarendaja’s, so the two can be read against each other.
Highest education
Self-declared at registration by all 223 kood/Nooremarendaja participants. Higher education is any completed degree, which is the 74% figure. Vocational combines qualifications taken after general secondary school with the one taken after basic school. 6 participants left the field blank.
Regional data
17% of kood/Nooremarendaja participants gave no address at registration.
